The founding program of the Magic Johnson Foundation (MJF) when established shortly after Earvin “Magic” Johnson’s 1991 announcement, MJF focused on supporting community-based organizations that dealt with the education and prevention of HIV/AIDS with millions of dollars in grants. 

Now 20 years later, the mission and programs of MJF have expanded the organization remains committed to the fight against HIV/AIDS.  Today the program focuses on the education, testing and awareness work.  Since the organization’s inception, the importance of knowing your own HIV status has been highlighted, with testing events hosted by MJF and partners in communities at high-risk of contracting and spreading HIV/AIDS.  MJF is proud to announce over 80,000 individuals have been tested for HIV/AIDS through our program!
