The Magic Johnson Foundation (MJF) is proud to celebrate the return of the All-Star Weekend to the City of Angels! As 2011 marks the anniversary for the Magic Johnson Foundation, the Foundation will host a number of fundraising and awareness events throughout the week. MJF will kick off the week with the Magic Mixer, a networking event for the who’s who in corporate America, Entertainment, and Philanthropy. Thursday is the Magic & Zo 8 ball pool tournament event benefiting both MJF and Alonzo Mourning charities, an event that has become a staple in the All Star week line up. The week will conclude with a night of fashion and philanthropy at Nordstrom’s at the Grove.
All Star HIV efforts
MJF is focusing its efforts around High school outreach. In partnership with the center for disease control, the organization will host a HIV Symposium at Centennial High School. The entire student body will hear from industry experts, celebrity guests, peer leaders, and an individual living with HIV/AIDS. Aids Healthcare Foundation will be on site conducting testing.
